Safety

We Truly Value the Lives, Health and Safety of Our Employees

Safety records are a reflection of an organization’s culture.  There is the “why” and the “how” of our safety culture.  The “why” of the Tri-Technic safety culture is two-fold, but it is simple and easy to express.  We truly value the lives, health, and safety of our employees and partners who work on our projects, and all who work in this dangerous industry.  We have observed the suffering of those who have fallen victim to an accident, often because someone did not follow the rules.

However, going beyond the slogans, we have also observed the long-term liability to business, the direct and disruptive costs associated with accidents; while these cannot be measured against human suffering, they are, nonetheless, real and can be devastating.  As well as assuring that everyone returns home to their family injury free at the end of every workday, we also work hard to insulate our clients and partners from the devastating business liabilities that an accident can bring.  We do this to insure that those who return home injury-free to their families every night have a workplace and a job to come back to the next morning.

Production is Never More Important
Than Safety

The “how” of our safety culture is somewhat more difficult and requires a lot of hard work.  Our safety director is an accomplished safety professional, who works long and hard every day to assure that our jobsites are safe, our construction operations address and mitigate all hazards and that our competency and compliance training for all our employees and partners is second to none.  Thorough task planning and job hazard analysis (JHA) are employed on all critical or sensitive operations and are communicated in detail to all who are involved. Safety development and assurance are team efforts, but responsibility for success is a very personal thing and must have individual comprehension and buy-in.

Our safety incentives are structured to award proactive program participation and compliance, not to discourage the reporting of accidents or hazards. Every manager and supervisor leads by example toward the ultimate goal of making every project an accident free project.  Production is never more important than safety.  The result: Fewer injuries and a safety record that is among the very best in the electrical industry.
