Shasta Mountain:  WAPA awards Tri-Technic the Shasta-Flanagan-Keswick Transmission Line project in the Shasta Mountains. The project consists of the upgrade of 9-miles of existing single circuit 230KV transmission line interconnecting three existing substations at Shasta, Flanagan and Keswick. Work includes removing the existing conductor and insulators, installing a new ACCR Drake conductor, high temperature fittings, and insulators. Work additionally includes furnishing and installing one overhead optical ground wire, furnishing and installing one overhead ground wire and modifying two latticed steel towers. The work is expected to start in October 2013 and complete by December 31, 2013 as is a very fast track project.
